The Hall of Fame of the Small Munsterlander Club of America honors Small Munsterlanders that have achieved extraordinary success in their chosen endeavors. Inherent in the requirements for admission to The Hall of Fame is the intention to foster the historical concept of the Small Munsterlander as a versatile hunting dog possessing strong scenting ability, even temperament, and good social behavior and to see these characteristics exhibited in each individual dog. The owner of the dog being submitted for entry to the Hall of Fame must be a member in good standing of the SMCA. The Hall of Fame award may be granted posthumously.
The candidate must have accumulated a minimum of 100 points, of which 40 points must have been achieved by prizing in NAVHDA, JGHV, or VHDF testing. Points must have been achieved in at least three different categories. Dogs born before the year 2000 need accumulate points in only two categories. The Categories are: Versatile Hunting Dog Tests, Retriever Tests, Hunting Competitions, Progeny, and Other Miscellaneous Events.
